The Island of Pelopnos lies more or less between the two major continents. Although it is located slightly east of the both, it is still called the Centre of the Universe. It is the citadel and font of all knowledge. Therefore, it is also known as the Isle of Learning because most of the major colleges are found there. This includes: The Wizards College, The Healers College; and the minor schools of the Theatre and Minstrel Guilds, along with the other guilds schools of lesser artistry and sophistry. Preparatory schools, particularly for wizardry, are located elsewhere--the population of the capital city of Thessalia having grown quite tired of waking up else in someone else's body, or someone else's bed, in the aftermath of a junior student's spell The most powerful of all the stone circles is located on Pelopnos.
