The southern continent, Daklha is the smaller of the two and is divided evenly into four countries. Except for the far northwest corner, it is mainly desert. Subject to torrential rains in the spring, this portion is covered in dense jungle (made up primarily of Apsu's Coat) that dries up to skeletal remains during the long dry seasons.
Quattara is located in the southwest corner. It has none of the unique land features or redeeming characteristics of its neighbours. A savage place, the slave trade flourishes here. Indeed it is the only thing that flourishes besides warfare, for the many petty sheiks and sultan are constantly waging war between each other or invading their neighbouring countries in order to renew their one and only resource--slaves. The Quattareans, like the Wizards, are known for their bad taste (often attributed to colour-blindness). The phrase "tackier than a Quattarean's tent" reflects this, and the Quattarean can easily be recognised by the gold rings he (or she) wears, adorning each finger, arm, ankle and wrist, and piercing their nose, ears and lips.
